My name is Gloria Asempah, and I recently graduated from EP University with a degree in Business Administration. After completing my degree, I realized I wanted to venture into IT. I started searching for IT schools but found their requirements challenging. Since this was a skill I was determined to acquire, I kept looking. My fiancé did some research and found Genius IT for me, and he registered me for the program.
When I started, I didn’t have many expectations. On the first day of class, they asked us to pray before starting, and I was surprised. I thought to myself, “Do they really do this in schools?” But I loved it because starting with prayer meant everything would go well. We prayed before starting and again after closing each class. This gave me confidence that I was in the right place.
I began with the Computer Basics course, and it was more than I expected. It wasn’t just about learning the keyboard or simple tasks; we covered cybersecurity, the internet, and so much more. When I completed the Computer Basics course, I knew I couldn’t stop there, so I continued with the Microsoft Office course. Now, I’m skilled in Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Before joining Genius IT, the only thing I could do with my computer was watch movies, but now I feel confident whenever I use it.
Currently, I’m studying web development, and I’m certain that by the time I complete the course, I’ll be one of the best website developers. My tutor, Mr. Desmon Kitsi, has been an incredible inspiration to me. I often call him a prophet (even though he doesn’t know) because his words not only teach but also motivate. He never says anything that would discourage or lower our confidence. Instead, he encourages us to master what we are learning so we can be even more relevant than those who discovered it.
One thing I truly appreciate about Genius IT is their flexible payment system. They don’t rush you about fees, which allows you to focus on learning comfortably. I’m so grateful to be part of this school, and I’ll always recommend Genius IT to anyone who wants to gain digital skills. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!
